Weekly Beautiful Libraries Links

I’ve been looking for books to read, but have ended up finding silly links and games to play – so far I’ve played 5 rounds of Battleship on my mobile and only won twice. Here’s some links while I play again.

If 2016’s Oscar-nominated movie posters told the truth – let’s see which one of them wins tonight!

When Frozen meets Star Wars. A mashup by artist Katarzyna Witerscheim.

And while you’re at it, here’s some hijabi-fied Disney Princesses.

A magnetic collage – a short story with GIFs.

Thought this was good – a piece of fiction on an alien’s take of human behaviour.

This is one for Londoners – cute and quirky cafe shops around London to visit for something a little different.

This white chocolate sphere dessert. Surprisingly not that difficult to make!

An interesting article on China and it’s women-only mosques – part of BBC’s documentaries about China.

I’m a real library freak, and I always look for pretty bookshops and libraries whenever I travel abroad. A list of beautiful libraries around the world to add to my bucket list.

5 second films – enjoyment and wasting less of your time. Or more of your time depending on how many of these you end up watching.

Weekly Badass Princesses Links

It’s time for weekly links again, and as ever, I’ve been collating some good ones for you (and some stupid ones, naturally!) – here they are, so enjoy!

Find the Invisible Cow. Seriously. Make sure you have your sound on for this one.

If you’re into cool stories about Princesses (like me) then this will be up your street – Rejected Princesses, which are stories from around the world about lesser known stories in fairy tales, history and myths with princesses who were, basically, badasses.

300 hours of work, millions of handmade dots and lines with Rotring Inkpens – I don’t think I’d have the patience, but what a beautiful piece is created at the end of it.

Ever wanted to see the worst of Youtube videos? (You probably don’t) – wonder no more with boootube.com Enjoy and cringe away.

Did you ever play the Oregan Trail in your childhood? (I sure as heck did, I’m surprised how many others there are out there as well!) Well, here’s a zombie version of the game to re-live your childhood memories.

Designer Seb Lester re-created famous brands and logos with a pen hand. I love stuff like this, it’s beautifully done and oddly satisfying to see a pen used so well.

A (very cool) father and daughter recreated Jurassic Park with $100,000 worth of Lego – you can watch the video here.

Feeling stressed? Have a rainy window. Makes everything better.

Ever wanted a designer handbag made of pancakes, or sandwiches, or bagels? Well now you can have some, courtesy of Chloe Wise and her foodie fashion bags. The only thing I’d be worried about is hungry passerbys and birds trying to eat your bag and make your lipsticks fall out.

Rocko, you look so…wild. If 90s cartoons were translated into real life, here’s how they would look. Very confusing.

Star Wars: The Disney-Star Wars Memes Part II

After the first series of Star Wars-Disney mashups and mockery of the news that Disney has bought out the Star Wars franchise, the memes are still going, and I’m loving how artistic some of the images are. So here’s a few more to enjoy, and maybe some to help you decide whether you’re Team StarWars or Team Disney. Or just Team Meme. (I also love this series of Lego Star Wars campaign, which was cute!)

The Internet Strikes Back: Disney Star Wars Mashups & Memes

News that Disney has acquired Lucasfilm and will be releasing a new Star Wars movie in 2015 has provoked some amazingly (and hilarious) responses from the World Wide Web (as well as Hollywood, the news corporations, and just about any five year old obssessed with Disney). Here are just a few of the best memes and mash-ups which I LOVED (I loved looking at these so  much, I may just do a Part 2 to this post!).
