Writing on the Wall: Funky Jazz Art in Central London

There’s always a hidden away mural in pockets of London, on the side of walls, alleys and doors, and it’s great to see a huge piece like this covering a while building. I love the detail of this piece, it’s jazzy, busy and rich with details and history, showing a piece of London perfectly.  Everytime I look at this painting, there’s always something else to notice which I hadn’t before; the red bus, the DJ lost in his scene, the artist, the window cleaner – it’s a regular portrait of everyday life.

It’s a pity that the bottom of the whole piece has been…’edited’ by modern street graffiti, but I guess that just shows the changing face of London and it’s art/street scene? Let me find more of these around the city, I say.
